New Library Website

New Library Website

At the beginning of the school year, I decided to build Mira Costa High School virtual library content on a wiki site. While wikis are great for sharing all sorts of information, and especially well-suited to sites with multiple contributors, I just wasn’t happy with how the site was working for the library. I wasn’t able to create easy links to all the content in one place and customize the format. I have therefore switched gears and created a new website for the library at mchslibrary.org. Please visit and let me know what you like and don’t like, and what you would like added. I want to keep developing the site to serve student, staff, and parent needs, so let me know how I can improve it for you. Expect to see regular changes and new content on the site. And, do please continue to visit this blog for the latest news about the library. This blog and the new website will work together to fill you in on all the resources, programs, and events at the library.

  1. I think this new website is great because it lets the students blog which brings more variety to our lives. I just hope we can get better computers because these ones take forever to load. I think blogging is a great chance to move out into what we currently deem the “real world”. I hope my fellow school mates would agree with me and if possible donate towards more computers for our library.
Thanks so much to Ms. Lofton for putting this blog together and presenting a way for us to learn how to blog appropriately. It takes a lot of effort to be an educator and you absolutely have it! :3
