It’s Teen Tech Week, a national celebration sponsored by YALSA, the Young Adult division of the American Library Association. It’s a chance for teens to learn more about technology and what it can offer them both for fun and productivity. To celebrate, the Mira Costa Library is hosting several activities:
- A Teen Tech Week Scavenger Hunt. Come by the library to get a contest form and answer five easy questions. Or, you can even download it here. But, if you come to the library, we’ll be happy to help you with any clues you need to answer all the questions. All participants with correct answers will be entered in a prize drawing for an iTunes certificate.
- Come to the library during lunch on Tuesday to learn about Wordle.net, a fun and easy word cloud creation tool. Please eat lunch quickly and come straight to the library at 12:30 for the session. There will be a raffle drawing for all participants.
- Come to the library during lunch on Friday to learn about Flickr.com, a fun and easy word cloud creation tool. Please eat lunch quickly and come straight to the library at 12:30 for the session. There will be a raffle drawing for all participants.

The first portion of the contest begins and ends on Monday, March 7. The second portion runs from Tuesday, March 8 through Friday, March 11.
